Abstract

Background: Pulpal and periapical diseases are highly prevalent oral conditions caused by microbial infection and modified by host genetic, epigenetic, and environmental factors. Twin studies have helped estimate the heritability of dental caries and its sequelae. However, individual case reports documenting concordant endodontic disease presentations in twin pairs, particularly female twins presenting at the same time, are rare.
